Shimano Cleat covers

I recently purchased Shimano PD-R540 SPD SL Sport Pedals and I want to now get cleat covers for the cleats (didn't realise that even a small amount of walking quickly wears away the cleats). Can anyone recommend where I could get these as Wiggle are out of stock for almost two weeks and nobody else seems to stock them! Plenty of Look and Speedplay but very little Shimano.

If cleat covers are a waste of time please let me know also!

I bought these a few months back but haven't had the opportunity to use them recently. I don't walk much in my cycling shoes but I thought the cleats were wearing out very quickly too. These are made of hard rubber much like the pedal cover in a car and can be difficult to attach and remove when new but are unlikely to fall off and should pay for themselves in a short time.
