Got a galaxy S3 a week ago and I thought about insurance. I looked p prices and thought it would be cheaper than €6 a month. Is it worth getting? Anyone here get it and find the peace of mind useful?

What are you like with your devices?

I had insurance for a few years when I got my first mobile back in 97. I realised I was just wasting money and cancelled it. Haven't had insurance since and I haven't had a single instance where I would have needed it.

But if you are the sort of person who tends to lose things when out on a session then maybe it might be worth it ;)

I couldn't afford a session so no worries there.:(

I've never lost or broken a phone but have dropped them on occasion, being a large fragile device I'm worried it could be easily damaged. My other phones have been smaller and felt sturdier. I also worry about the kids getting their hands on it and deciding to see if it will float in the bog.

I was hoping that insurance would be cheaper.

These phones are a lot stronger than they appear, albeit they are no Nokias. I've been using smartphones since the old windows smart phones up to the modern ios and android devices. I've never used a case and they have taken the odd tumble here and there but nothing serious, just some scratches on them. A good sturdy case is also an option and just keep it out of reach of the kids :D
