Reading recommendations?

    Howdy

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place - mods feel free to move if not.

Looking for some reading recommendations if possible. Read a few of Oliver Sacks books and enjoyed them. So obviously it’s the accessible neurology / psychology kind of stuff I’m after, I don’t have a medical / psychology background or anything like that.

What I’d like to read more about in particular is how drugs affect the different brain regions and how stimulation of dopamine and serotonin by different types of chemicals (natural/synthesized or whatever) seems to spark various forms of hallucinations, inspirations, creativity etc etc. And also how possible it is to attempt to do this without experimenting with the various drugs on offer etc (the fun way :))

    Appreciate any steers…thanks
