hey all, 100% novice at gardening, me and the oh moved into our new house in november. we're trying to get our front and back garden sorted for summer.

the back was riddled with weeds, like probably 75% weeds.

i have put out a load of feed and weed and killed most the weeds, but i havent a clue what the next step is?! there is a kind of moss growing on the top soil.

should i just dig it all up and plant fresh grass seeds?

    thanks.

    rob

    Hey,

Best thing to do is rake out the moss and aerate the lawn, ie stab it with a fork all over, this lets air in and kills off the rest of the moss.

After that, scatter grass seed all over and water well.
