I've done some googling on this but was wondering if anyone here had any experience.

Long story short I can't bring my phone into work with me and leave it in the car. To check it during the day involves a trek and takes away break time if I do so. Is there any way I can mirror my Note 2's screen on my desktop just to check missed calls etc. as I don't want to have them forwarded to my office because I'll invariably miss them there too:D

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sand.airdroid

Make sure you have a good data plan for this!

Webkey is awesome for it.. Remote access and full control over screen and every phone function from a browser. Or another android device. You need root though and I have it installed as my theft app.

This is me viewing and controlling my S2 on my Nexus 7. While viewing and controlling my Nexus on my laptop.
So I'd click an icon on my laptop and first, my phone would change, then the Nexus and then the laptop.

It will keep a connection to the webkey website but only use a noticable amount of data when you log in.. When you log in, you have to drag the phone unlocked and then you can use it. Or export all the data.

MightyText works for this too; and doesn't require rooting

Airdroid working a treat for me now. Very handy as it also does file transfer.

Really like the look of Airdroid but it requires root access and that's something I'm not willing to do to my one week old HTC One just yet.

    Any alternatives?

Doesn't require root access except for taking screen shots I believe.

Find my phone works for me. It didn't last wk when I 1st started using airdroid but I re-installed the other day and it works now. I read that for others it doesn't work.

    Thanks.

I might start a new thread rather than keep derailing this one.
