Is Smart Telecom DSL out of service?

I'm just wondering if there's a general Smart Telecom outage this morning?

My connection to the exchange is sync'd at 759 up and 11,156 down but there's no route to the outside world!

Tried a traceroute to www.google.com and www.digiweb.ie and got nothing other than "unknown host www.google.com"

Also using Google public DNS so that should be fairly solid.

Connection to their forums from my iPhone on mobile data is timing out too!

    Reconnected DSL:

    Speed improved to 766 / 14,130

But still lights on & nobody home!

If this goes on more than a few minutes I'm signing up with someone else!

Their outages are becoming a bit too frequent and their customer care is abysmal (none at the weekend!)

Used to be a great ISP!

    ----

Checked the phone, it's working so at least their VoIP / POTS service is still alive

    ----
Oh well I'm off for some coffee!

I may be taking eircom up on that eFibre offer after all!

    Back now but abysmal speed.

Still very tempted to move to Magnet or Eircom for fibre in May though.

I notice on the smart telecom home page it now has a banner redirecting to Digiweb.

I assume they're going to drop the Smart Telecom brand and port customers over to VDSL2 at some stage.

Don't think so, as I wasn't using their DNS servers and it was still down.
