Guy in work got the Ainol Hero 2 (funny name but decent specs), think it was under 150 after shipping from China.

You should be spending €150 MINIMUM on a 10" tablet, more like €200.

There is such a thing as too cheap, chinapads have no QC(the battery in mine exploded), and will drive you nuts.

If 200 is too expensive then I suggest you pick something else.

    Thanks pal, means a lot!

Really only looking to spend €150 or less for a basic tablet for watching movies and playing low spec games.

I'll probably go with an Ainol, as I have a Novo 7 and it's pretty good for the money, and they seem relatively cheap.

Before you buy, you should check out over on Slatedroid.....

A lot more info over there, and I would not be as quick as some to dis the China Tabs, they are getting better all the time, most are at least dual, and some quad cores, and compare very well in build quality with anywhere else, and will not be beaten on price.

If you find one you like on Aliexpress, or Pandawill, check out if it is available from a UK site, like Amazon.

That way you will avoid customs, etc, and you may have a better guarantee.

That is where I got my cheepo Momo11 Bird, and it's flying, with CM9, no China apps, flying, just single-core, but 1GB Ram and decent 8G ROM on Board, with expansion up to 32, it works OK for me, and it is very versatile, for 3g and HDMI, for example.

If I was buying now, I would seriously look at this:

Is the OP's tablet worth it's original price of £349.99?

Having a look around for a 9-10 inch tablet for my dad, cause his 7inch is apparently too small.

This tablet is being offered through pigsback for €139 delivered for the next 2 days:

    Opinions and/or alternatives? :)

512mb RAM will make it horrible to use. I'd say the screen resolution is terrible as well. I've been looking at Chinese tablets all week and finally bought from http://www.retailgadgets.co.uk/home.php. They have a 2 week return policy and based in England so I'm taking a chance! I'm getting the Ainol Novo 7 Venus. Comes to about €125. Although it is only a 7 inch screen.

Also if you use Parcel Motel you get free delivery.
