Amsterdam airport

    Hi

    I would like to get some perfumes in Dublin airport, however my flight will be stopped in Amsterdam airport then transfer to the China.

    Can I carry over perfumes or cosmetic products in my hand luggages during transfer to other county. I am afraid it will be over the limit due to security reason. E.g not go over 100ml one item.

    We had a small fortune in good wine and Clarins stuff taken from us in Madrid airport having arrived from Argentina and we were just transferring to a Dublin flight.

    Hadn't even occurred to us that this might happen :eek:

    We were "offered the opportunity" to go outside, check in again and check them in as hold baggage - but we had no time.

    I'm not sure if flying out of the EU would make a difference, but I'd be double-checking before spending any big money! (I know that's exactly what you're doing here!!)

    Will you have time in Schipol to do the perfume shopping?

    Just tell them your final destination in Dublin Airport.
    They will put the items into a secure bag and you can transfer without problems in Schiphol.

    Alternatively there is a lot of shops in the International Terminal if you have some time.
