Should make everyone reflect on your personal use and possible over-use of Social Media. Worth a Watch!

I don't have my full/real name on most of the sites I use. Only thing that does is ebay & paypal. .

Also never used real birthday either. The things people place online without a second thought always surprises me.

But hopefully this will be a warning to those.

One can only hope about it being a warning.

re:username:- One thing I do is change the ID on my facebook from time to time to different appreviations and As Gaeilge also at times to make it more difficult to be found.

I'm actually beyond shock at this stage what people place on their social media sites. We need to educate the younger generation more on the dangers of social media sites as not near enough is being done imo. I've been asked to speak with children in the past about their online activities, but more education in school needs to be done imo.

It's not just the younger gen though, many of them have parents that don't see the problem with having personal details online. Having everything.
I'm always trying to talk to people about it, but many just don't (won't ) see the problem with it S:

Take into account then those adults and parents who are not computer savvy and just do not know what the youth of today are actually doing online or trying to understand or assist when problems occur from the online activities.

Ireland was not ready or equipped to deal with the explosion of social media and as such problems are arising and are not being dealt with as they should, with a very good example being online bullying!
