btea to jobseekers summer

    has anyone in the past year or two undergone the transfer from btea to jobseekers for summer? if so could someone tell me how long the re registering to jobseekers takes and how long they were left without money etc

    Take this with a pinch of salt, but if you were on jobseekers before btea and are over 25 (no need for means test of family income) then the transfer over, from what i can remember should not take more than a week, also any weeks missed will be back dated. Also this might be better placed in the Biz> State Benefits Forum although im sure someone here will have experience.

    You should have received a form from the social welfare to fill out and have your end of course date on it. If you have this filled in correctly and returned, from my experience, there will be no wait and you will just be automatically transferred from btea to jobseekers once end date is passed. If you haven't received a form, ring them.
    It should transfer over again to btea in September automatically. That's what happened to myself anyway.
