Wanted: beginner Hardtail MTB bike?

I am looking to get into mountain biking and I want something cheap and cheerful to start off on
I have a budget of around 350
I also have some bikes for trade

Anybody with any bikes that would suit me?

What height are you? I've a trek 6500 slr for sale on adverts, it's a 19.5" frame. I'm 6 foot and it suits me great. It's a bit out of your budget, but it has a really good fork on it, which is a must for anyone getting into mtb'ing. While it is a bit over your budget, it might be worth considering increasing your budget by €70 to get a Rock Shox Reba fork with remote lockout...

I'm not looking to trade, thanks, I've too many bikes as it is! There's a small bit of wiggle room on the price too. Small!
