    Talk to me. Should I get it? :confused:

    Am I covered for anything in the event of an accident? I have health insurance so presumably that would cover my medical costs?

    Also what's the procedure in the event of an accident? Call the cops and take their insurance details and claim off that?

    Hopefully I'll never have to do any of the above but flying down the hill on a bike dodging potholes I'm paranoid that I'm not too far away from an accident :o

    Hi there,

    Firstly, don't go flying down any hills especially if unsure of road surface ahead of you;
    Secondly, I asked similar question right here and subsequently I never went ahead with insurance.

    In event of accident phone the local Garda station and inform them. When I was thrown off my bike I received the drivers details. I had initially decided to claim damages but then after finding out some personal details about him I thought it best not to risk raising his insurance premium for what costs I had at that point so absorbed all costs myself (okay with that at time, but costs still rising for me but won't still make a claim). It is your own choice, but hopefully you won't find yourself in an accident :)

    Safe Peddling out there!
