Hey lads as the title suggests.

I was changing the front pads on the car onr wheel stuck on and no budge what so ever.

Tried the usual couple of boots. loosened off the bolts and rocked the steering from side to side. Still nothing.

So out with the persuader and a block of wood. Tappity tap and off she pops.

Happy days or maybe not. Shortly after little pool of oil on the floor looks like it's coming from around the drive shaft..

What in the name of jaysus have I gotten myself into

    Any advice welcome.

You e probably pulled the drive out of the box. A good push should get it back in. You will have to top up the gear oil though.

I was thinkin somethin like that. Is there any seals I might have damaged that'll need replacing.

Might have been an idea to loosen the caliper bleed nipple first to relieve some of the pressure.

Not following you there. Alloy was stuck on the hub.

I taught you ment the wheel was stuck on after changing. I read too quickly heh :o. I'd say the puddle could be gearbox oil, might be a noticable stain at the seal.

I reckon you're right there wiped down the shaft around the boot thinking it might have come loose but doesn't seem to have.

Seems to have stopped as quick as it started. I'll top up in the morning and hopefully it was only a bit getting out when I hammered on the wheel.

Could of flipped the o ring when you pushed in the caliper, did you clamp the line and open the bleed

Nah it was definitely not that as I hadn't touched the caliper at this stage. It had to have been when I was knocking the wheel off.

Did you clean up the inner face of the wheel and the face of the hub, then maybe a little copper grease before refitting the wheel? Helps prevent a re-occurence.

True that would've been thinking alright but my head was melted trying to figure out this leak. No sign of it since so gonna hope all has gone back to where it should've been.
