Thunder B grenades

I attended the opening day for the "Special Ops" airsoft site in Carlow last Sunday and won a goody bag which included a Thunder B starter pack. So yesterday evening, I thought I'd try it out. The first go with the sound flash grenade went fine with a loud bang. However when I took it apart, the nylon threads in the head of the "spoon" had torn. When I had a second go with the "pineapple" grenade, the CO2 leaked out with no bang. When I tried to take it apart, it wouldn't budge. So I had to use a plumbers pliers to take it apart.

I tried once more after inserting a fresh CO2 canister and reassembling it and the pineapple blew apart with one half flying back over my head.

So my question is, are these Thunder B's "hit and miss" when it comes to them going off (as I've seen many used in skirmishing and the success rate doesn't appear to be great when it comes to them going bang) and are they poorly made and should be considered disposable (the spoon and head parts). While they were fun to use, as I got them free, I'm not sure if I'd be too pushed on buying another set if the so called reusable parts appear to fail on the first try.

Was at the same event with the lads and watched you walk away all like a winner and stuff :p

Also, here are a couple of good video about them and how to improve them:

Personally, I've got five(5) at this stage and only use them indoor (so not much hahaha) and even with all of the known fixes + improvements, they are 50/50, so we always throw two(2) to be sure ;)

    Hope this helps :)

I wasn't even listening when they called my name and the lads on my team had to give me a heads up:o. I'm not normally the "lucky" type and was a bit embarrassed tbh. Anyways, I got them for free so no big deal that they appear to be falling apart so soon. I was just wondering if I got a duff one or if they're all a bit flimsy.

Pity I didn't know you we're going as its always nice to put a face to the Boardsie. Maybe next time??

Here's me on the left btw

They can be like that and some get lucky, it's hit and miss with these to be honest

Same here and remember your face, as for us, we're low profile hahaha :D
