Yea Dermot said they went for planning when he first floor bedroom was mentioned.

I guessed it was Dundrum or Stillogan. God these must have money to throw away. Nothing really wrong with this house but they are going to spend €180,000 on it. MADNESS.

My Father-in-Law lives on the same road. Big houses, big rooms... feckin' freezing. Impossible to keep the place warm.

I am absolutely lost as to the justification for 290k build. Can't see the kids in the next room and it's a bit awkward getting in the door with school bags.

And not a word about insulation of existing building and improving energy efficiency levels

Edit I heard it I’m a few mins behind

I like the idea of the door being in the middle, more symmetrical.

They seem like a nice couple. I know most would disagree with me but id keep the door, maybe just change the glazing and paint it up. I don't know why but I really like it

290k is a 3 bedroom house in some parts of Dublin. A 4 in others.

In fairness that's comparing apples and oranges. These are really big 4 bed semis, big gardens, near good schools, shops and transport links. I'm not saying they're perfect, far from it, but they're much more desirable than a pokey 3 bed in a rough estate somewhere miles out of town.

I wish they would do one where the client has a really small budget and show people how to get great results on a budget. That's the real challenge . If you have enough money to throw at it you can get whatever you want. No challenge. Much harder to get a small property and small budget and see how to fit everything in

She seems a proper lady...... Compared to the wagon from last week.

But **** me, 290k. Interesting to see what they get for that compared to what they got last week for 150k
