    Hi people,

I was considering buying this gun http://www.mainirishairsoft.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=619 which was recently put onto MIA's website. I've never heard anything good or bad about D-Boy. Would I be wasting my money on this?

Theres no yes or no answer to this question. Since its a china clone it's a bit of a hit and miss situation. Jg are considered one of the lower end manufacturers that produce guns that are poorly shimmed and use lesser materials in general (ie. pot metal instead of cnc aluminium) for the price on the other hand, it's relatively good.....you do get some sort of metal and it will run and as with all china clones if you regressed and reshimmed the gearbox it'll be twice as good as it was before. The internals won't last as long as say tm and will have to be replaced in time but they should last a good few thousand rounds.
    Hope this helps!

But I feel like I could get a better gun for the same price. I've got a Classic Army M15A4 Sportsline at the moment and it's, in my opinion, a really good gun. Now it is my first airsoft gun, so I can't tell whether it'd be considered good or bad when compared to other guns but I do know that it's accurate and still works :) I think I'll stick to CA's sportsline series for the moment and increase my budget later on.

I have one that I imported with a few parts changed already for reliability. One of my most solid and reliable aegs as it's always my 2nd aeg in the bag for a skirmish. Has good range and accuracy out of the box. It is not the easiest for disassembling it to upgrade it, but the gearbox will accept standard parts. Watch the button for the stock cheek piece. Mine fell out the other day. But that's the only that's gone off on it. I've run a 7.4v lipo and upgraded motor off it just fine.
