Great to see lots of free gigs in the city this weekend and hopefully the organisers will be rewarded with a good turnout! Lots of bands I haven't come across before - any recomendations?

Great buzz around the city all weekend. Roots Festival is probably the best weekend of the year in Kilkenny.

absolutely fantastic weekend, whoever the main organiser is should take a bow, as well as all the bands and pubs that took part

John Cleere is the man behind it and he does some job on it. Also, Willie Meighan of Rollercoaster Records does trojan work on it. Considering the lack of funding they get for the festival, they have done a brilliant job of making this festival the best festival weekend in Kilkenny every year.
