I use to hate it when I did shift work. It had its advantages in that it was more relaxed with no bosses around or anything like that, but my problem was I couldn't sleep during the day. Was lucky to get 2-3 hours and would be struggling to stay awake all night. Hated it.

That said, I'd still gladly take a night shift job now.

If you're a guard you'll either be sleeping or eating heavily discounted fast food in the station now.

Finishing at 3am would suit me perfectly. The worst shift is 00:00-10:00. Going in on no sleep and coming out in the morning so cant get to sleep until the afternoon.

Love it. Most of the gobsh1tes are in bed preparing for the next day, so less of them around.

I know it seems fine but again I don't sleep till well at least 5 and then up early for peppa pig and nick toons with me daughter while the Missus goes to work or during the week it's college so its just lack of sleep and pure boredom at night in my job :(

But suppose lucky to have a job aswell

At work as a Night Porter in a hotel at the minute.
Good point - Being able to go on Boards.
Bad point - Just caught a woman pissing on the carpet near reception.

No. About mid-50's. Not that drunk either.
Caught her as she was walking away from it. Didn't know what to say, so just escorted her back to her room and we'll probably kick her out in the morning.
Would love to say that's the first time I caught someone pissing in a hallway.

I lubs my latest job, 4 days on 4 days off and the last day goes from 1800 to 0600. Sounds rough but I pretty much watch tv for it, go home, sleep for 6ish hours and I have 4 days to myself.

Admitedly, I probably wouldn't cope with a constant night job.

Night shift is better than evening shift!

    *Except maybe on weekends!

It's only worth the hassle if you get a night shift allowance .in my place I use to get €16:80 extra per night....
