Eutelsat (Kerrang) dropping signal on friday night

    Just looking for some help / advice, every friday night for the last 3 weeks kerrang and all other channels on eutelsat has been showing no signal, but returning to a good siginal on saturday and the rest of the week, 60 cm dish in ferrybank, waterford. thanks Mick.

    Interference? I remember reading about something similar. It was allegedly caused by a local company using a microwave dish to transmit the weekly accounts to head office*. The eventual fix was to mount the dish at ground level, out of the company signal path but still in view of the satellite.

    *I find this hard to believe but it was definitely some form of microwave interference that was transmitted only on a Friday evening.

    Would upgrading the dish to a 80 or 90 cm stop astra 1 dropping out from time to time, I have a 60 cm dish at the moment.

    You mean the Astra 1 satellites at 19 degrees east (German channels) or, Astra 1N that was in use at 28 degrees east (UK channels) up until a few days ago?
