why care about israel

    The american christian movement seem to go on about saving Israel since most of jews re-guard christian teaching as unture why bother

    Do you personally think that Isreal has a right to exist or not, this ancient people?

    Do you believe that they should have a place at all? I am not a 'Zionist' anything but, I'm a Catholic - but I do believe that we've got to be fair and live together and strive for peace and some kind of justice - that means being 'fair'.

    Isreal is pretty much surrounded on all sides by people who believe they don't have a right to exist...and sometimes they act imo very badly because they know they can only depend on themselves.

    Do you think they should just move on?

    There those seem to a moderate proportion of Protestant support for the State of Israel. In part it might be religious or it might be to the general historical US support had given to Israel. Personally I'm agnostic to the pros/cons of Israeli's policies per se, as it is one State amongst many in the world and as there are other issues closer to home that are more relevant.
