I don't mean to be rude, but there are honestly countless threads about this vs that for every combination of platform and phone and type of phone and apps on various phones etc.. a quick search will help you.

Personally.. i'd go with S4, if it's available i don't know why you would want to go for the older one (Assuming budget allows)

I had iphones and moved to the Galaxy S2. I now have the S3 and to be honest I have never looked back and much prefer the Galaxy.

I went from iPhone to S3 about a year ago and wouldn't go back. The Samsung is a far more user friendly and frankly interesting device. Far more you can do with it in terms of setting it up the way you want, not the way apple wants.

The only thing I miss about apple is their customer care. When I had an issue with my iPhone, I contacted them directly and they really couldn't have had a replacement out any quicker.

Samsung, on the other hand, left me without my S3 for 6 weeks while it was being repaired. The repair was done in Dublin by a registered service centre, not Samsung directly even though I reported it directly to them. That's my only gripe. As long as your handset doesn't need repairs, you won't regret leaving the iPhone behind.

In terms of S3 vs S4, it comes down to your budget. If you can afford it, definitely go for the newer model every time. That said, my wife is changing from iPhone to S3 shortly, as is really still a very good phone.
