Hi all. I'm trying to source an old wall map of Ireland, that doesn't have the border, northern ireland or londonderry written on it. Ideally I'd love the counties & place names to be in Irish, or bi-lingual. Does anyone know if such a wall map exists & can be bought?

The guy that run this site might be able to help you out, or at least point you in the right direction. www.map-print.net

Also might be worth looking at OSi's portfolio of maps.

I think the problem you'll have is that all old maps would be in English, and given that most will have Londonderry as well as King's and Queen's Counties because the county system was a British invention.

The closest I can find is this:
    http://www.emersonkent.com/map_archive/ireland_16th.htm

It seems to have been made more recently than that, but was made as a historical map.

Many thanks. The age of the map is of less importance. I'm wondering if any of the maps of Ireland produced by the newly formed Irish Free State in 1922 would have been of the 32 counties?
