Dropped my S3 coming out of a repair shop - with th egummy casing still off it - screen gone

Have a new phone - and just wondering if easy way to move a lot of the apps etc over

I have read some tutorials but I can't download the apps they suggest as can't access the screen

    Can I use KIES ??

Or on the new phone is there a way I can locate all my purchased apps on marketplace and install on new phone ?

    Thanks

log in on the new android phone, it'll auto download all your apps, job done

best not to do this until connected to a wifi network

No sure if that would help you but google for:
"S3 and MHL" or "S3 usb to hdmi"
If the digitizer is still working that might be the solution.

Then consider using a bluetooth mouse and with external screen + mouse you have "fully" functional access.

That would work with google play, but not with all apps installed from different sources or from apk files.

Open Google Play, go to 'my apps', scroll to the right and every app that you have ever downloaded from the store is there. Just install them from the list.

    Hope this helps.

things must have changed recently (well maybe not that recently - it's a desire s) but every time I login on my newly flashed phone, the apps just start downloading. . .it's actually quite annoying because it downloads long forgotten uninstalled apps too

If you're running Gingerbread, go into Settings > Privacy and uncheck "Automatic restore." Something might be wrong with Google's sync on your account. So try that to see if it stops it.

On Ice Cream Sandwich and later it's in Settings > Backup & reset, in case you're running a custom ROM.

On the other hand, anyone that wants their apps sync'd/downloaded to their new phone and it isn't happening, those menus are where to make it happen. Just check both boxes as you see in the pictures.
