I am considering buying one of these. They are about the same price and are technically the same AFAIK. I am just wondering if any one has any pros or cons on these or any experience of either.

I think the only advantage the iRig HD has is that it comes with a lightning adaptor, you have to stick one on to the Apogee one for an iPhone 5/new iPad.

I have the Apogee and it is fantastic. They've a better heritage with these type of devices and the sound of this is fantastic, clean and noise free. I use it with JamUp XT and it's a giggable rig practically.

Is there apps that one works with and not the other.

Just got the Irig HD. It's a great divice. Using it with amplitube full version. It's a bit expensive but I have to say it is good. It comes with about six amp models from clean to metal. There are 9 pedals with it as standard. A good selection to start with.
