New Alternative Rock band in West of Ireland

    Hey, I'm a bassist, currently living in Galway, hoping to move back to Ennis in Clare soon (this is where I am from) and am looking to get a new band off the ground.

    I am personally interested in bands such as Karnivool, The Butterfly Effect, Katatonia and any other bands that use effects effectively to create moods yet still have up tempo rocking tunes. So far I have been chatting with a drummer about this but would like to hear from anyone else that would be interested. Location isn't a huge deal breaker for me, if the music is good enough that I will enjoy it then I can travel. But the music would need to be pretty good :D

    I can also sing backing vox. I would also like to do things very professionally in this band and learn from the mistakes of previous bands I have been in

    Do you have a drummer on board? I'm a drummer based in Galway city, big Katatonia fan, wide range of influences from the Rock, Alt, Metal and Blues worlds.

    Nothing as really happened with this yet. A slow process but I'd like to be patient to make sure and get the right people on board.

    I think I replied to your post on the vocalist ireland facebook page. If you werent already playing bass i'd have thrown my name in. Tool and karnivool are my 2 favourite bands and i'd love to be in a band making similar music. Alas, i'm in the wrong end of the country playing the wrong instrument.
