My little brother has gotten himself into a piece of bother in college. A status was put on the SU facebook page asking of what people thought of the accommodation he was staying in. It generated a number of responses, some good, but mostly negative. He commented joking "4 people were raped there this year", which obviously was fairly untrue considering that it would have been well known to the public at this stage if that had happened. It was soon taken down off the post. But the owner of the accommodation has since said that he intends on bringing him to court, claiming that he was the reason people have cancelled the accommodation for next year even though there was other comments with valid reasons why they don't reccommend the place.
Does he have a valid case against him?
