The cheap ones will be USB 2... try going for USB 3 if you can.

Eg. USB 2 will probably take around 8 hours to copy 1TB to it.

Problem I havin is chassis that can support 3TB, Drive is mainly for backup / storage, so USB2 would be fine ...
