Binge eating disorder.

Hi all, i have binge eating disorder, and it is destroying my health. I have it the last 35 years. I just got through 1 day, yesterday, without binge eating. 24 hours, it seems a small thing when you don't suffer from the eating disorder, but it was hard. I had a twirl bar in my hands a few times yesterday, i was also eying up some ice cream, but did not give in.
I have started by putting an x marking the days on a calender, that i have not engaged in binge eating. I have also decided to post on this thread daily of my progress, for others who suffer from the eating disorder. It may be of some help to someone. I think it will keep me encouraged also. I will be honest.

To be honest this will probably be closed as we can't address the issue and what you want is more suited to a blog.

However, eating disorders are incredibly complex, and take time and work. You NEED a professional to deal with this. I admire your determination and congratulations on making great steps, but please involve someone trained to deal with this.

    Best of luck OP.

Thanks Rosfixxxed, but i have been to a many professionals already. You are 100% right. Eating disorders are complex. My problems stem from my childhood. I know what is causing my eating disorder. But as one of my professionals advised, the disorder, will be an ongoing challenge.
I believe the answer to this, and lots of other problems in life, involve communication, and being open. I believe that people helping people is the path to true happiness, and contempment in life. Whether that help be physical, or just having somebody to talk to, or somebody to listen too.
I have seen the very behaviours of humanity, but i get alot of hope when i see the goodness in people, and i see that alot.

    Hi OP.

Welcome to PI. Please note this is a forum where posters seek advice. It is not a place to get medical advice or to post a blog.
Please have a look at our charter for some organisations that are there to help you with your issue but as above we must encourage you to seek professional help.

    Thread Closed.

    Wishing you all the best
    Taltos
