Are there any good resorts in Norway.

I would like to take a trip and see the Northern Lights and get some boarding in as well. Any recommendations?

Also if anyone is thinking of going you'd be welcome, none of my friends are keen and I dont wanna go by myself

Friend of mine lived in Oslo for a while and ski'd quite a lot, not sure if its far enough north to guarantee the lights.

My main knowledge of Norway is that its violently expensive.

Not sure about the Northern Lights but considering it is the Nation that gave us Aksel Lund Svindal; there should be plenty of skiing.

Lillehammer is the best known resort, and has held an olympics. It is easy to get to and plenty there to keep you busy for 4/5 days

Trysil: Is slightly more out of the way and again plenty of terrain for 4/5 days.

There is tons of hike and ride options and boat skiing in the fords if you are willing to tour.

As CardinalJ says it is painfully expensive in fact it makes Switzerland look like a budget resort!
