Tonight's WWE Raw will return to the United States with a live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Heading into Raw we have the news that John Cena was injuried on the recent WWE European tour - it remains to be seen WWE will handle this although we expext some kind of adderess from Cena on the severity of his injury and if he will be able to to compete with Ryback to take on The Shield in the planned hanicap match.
    - Cena and Alberto Del Rio vs. Ryback and Dolph Ziggler is advertised locally.
    - The Undertaker, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho and CM Punk are not advertised to appear.

I hope Cena forfeits the title. There could be a tournament set up! I hope Cesaro gets a reboot too.

Wanna see Cesaro get a push, now that he doesn't have the US title keeping him in the midcard let him stretch his wings a bit.

    keep the yodelling though :pac:

Cesaro wishes he was mid card. The US title was low card! I was convinced losing the title would be a good thing, then he lost to truth as well so i'm not sure what to make of iit all now.

Where is the Miz? I don't miss him but I just don't remember seeing him for a while.

Better chance of Cena hopping on one leg with all three members of the Shield on his back while beating Ryback.

Casero needs to shed the foreigner gimmick or turn it up a notch or three if he is to step up towards the main event.

Keeping Cena out of the ring as much as possible? or is he gonna get a table powerbomb to write him out for a while

Good idea, bring Cena out with the kids to avoid boos.

Sometimes its hard to hate Cena

This must be the first time in a long time that a crowd didn't boo Cena.

    Put them against the shield

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,758 ✭✭✭Strongbow10

another attempt to make the smarks feel crap for booing Cena

These gestures are heartwarming, but WWE are blatantly using it as a mean of good PR here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,108 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

There are super smarks convulsing in the aisles.

    Must. Not . Boo.

Cena: "dont you dare boo me i'm only doing it for the kids"

Ah come on, this stuff does wonders for sick kids and WWE might not be perfect but I'll never knock them for the work they do with kids.

See, stuff like this is why I find it impossible to ever give out about Cena. Yet there are always cynics who think it's all to get Cena over, which is a level of cynicism that kinda worries me.

Imo its awesome cheap PR or not. Same with their work with Susan G Kolman foundation et al

These gestures always seem to lose something when the person granting it has to publicise the fact they are doing it. Just lacks class

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,533 ✭✭✭Jester252

Nick the Stitch to end the streak

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,081 ✭✭✭peabutler

Yeah to be brutally honest if Cena being champ and the main part of the show makes young kids who might never live the same type of life that we all have happy than I think its worth it.

of course it is to get Cena over. Its brilliant to give kids a moment they will never forget, thats not the point.

There are many who grant wishes every year, and don't feel the need to show the world what they are doing.

give the kids and their families an awesome experience backstage with some front row tickets etc.... but it certainly does smack of an attempt to get the fans off Cena's backs, no doubt about it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,788 ✭✭✭✭krudler

Joking aside nobody can knock Cena for the work he does in this regard, take off the cynical jaded wrestling fan hat for a bit and appreciate what they did for those kids, they'll never forget tonight.

they cut better promos than Ryback too :pac:

Or it makes sense for a massive celebrity to use his status and the international platform available to him to create awareness for a charity.

It's not like Cena came up with the segment because he doesn't like getting booed and wants it to stop. He's been getting it for eight years ffs.

As for lacking class, this is a company that did a segment involving necrophilia, had a woman get to her knees and bark like a dog, and stated one of its deceased performers was in hell. On the scale of WWE class, this is way up the top.

Also pretty sure I read Cena hates having this stuff publicised. I'm sure they would broadcast far more of this kind of thing if they could have their way.

I thought, for a second that Cody Rhodes was going to win there. But yeah, really good match.

Don't worry, 50% of RAW will pretty much become "Sh*tty Divas Documentary Recall Show" for the next couple of months.
