    Hi
Just wondering if any one has any ideas how much this bit of land would go for.
    http://www.christybuckley.com/longueville_mallow/longueville_farm.html

Bit reluctant to actually contact the auctioneer since I'm not serious about buying right now. (no capital or credit history)
I just want to know what I'll be up against!
    Thanks

Haha Yeah I reckon it would flood at the drop of a hat. Wonder if thats the reason for selling?

Call Christy, be honest with him, and ask him for a guide price.

    He's a good man.

Minimum 10K an acre which is 380K however it is on a main road and planning is usuall hard to get but a 38K block of land migh allow someone to get planning for a house. I would expect it could in the region of 500K.

Very strange the way it is marked out with red line they seem to be keeping a strip along road, river bank and a few acres at the top of the picture that is between river and road

wonder if it has fishign rights? that said it'll make a good little lake when it floods. since the dredging in mallow and fermoy the flooding dosent last for as long as it used to.

It doesn't last long before it clears again. I know a farmer east of Mallow who has land adjacent to the blackwater he said it flooded 6 times last summer. It clears as fast as it floods.

Could suit rice cropping then ,,, Paddy fields!

That why I made my remark, about it suiting any ag activity, I have seen spuds on the missing list when passing that field

As far as I know any fishing rights to that stretch of the blackwater belong to the owners of the castle in the town. A serious block of land though was in spuds for a good few years and the spud grower only rents the best of ground so tis a fair indication of quality.
