While I was out on my second trip on new permissions I came across a young rabbit. I was focused on a rabbit further up the field and never coped this guy. I nearly walked on him, only that I looked down I would have walked on him.

He looked fine apart from when he fell over and then tried to run into a hole that wasn't there. I quickly dispatched him and is now well away from the field.

    What ye guys think?

Beleave it or not but the very same thing happend me today but we were walking the toad to get into the next field when we came across one that could sit in your hand the brother picked it up then put it in the ditch but then noticed it had a black scabby eye so he broke its neck and left it where it was but it was the same as that one just smaller

Yup. Eyes, nose, mouth, and gonads are the first tell tale signs. As it progresses it becomes listless, doesn't eat, ears can swell, and droop, etc.

That one looks fine bar the obvious falling over. Wonder if it has a hind quarter injury. Didn't seem to move too fast from you, and was not at full stretch when moving. Either that or it's blind, but i see no dicolouration in it's eyes.

    Tough one that.
