Well according to the spec sheet the head is designed to run that setup. However it does not give the rating of the head on a 4ohm load which is what the setup would be running at. Me personally would like to be kicking out a bit more into those cabs but without hearing it, it be impossible to say if its needed. The spec sheet does say it can not be run on anything lower than a 4ohms but strange it does not list it. I don't like the lack os speckon connections but at that power It should not matter but I prefer to have the locking function of the speckon.

Alternatives for that price would be hard to get without spending a little more like on ashdown, hartke etc.

If 4 Ohm is the nominal impedance then it'll be putting out 300W at 4 Ohm.

It's also says in the pdf you linked to that "The RB9 is the top of the range Richter bass head which can deliver a massive 300 watts into a 4 ohm load".

I've had no problem with volume running a borrowed RB9 into an Ampeg 8x10.
