Advice required.. Focus issue using D7000

    Hi all,

Im just looking for a bit of advice on my new Nikon D7000. I'm using it with a Yongnuo flash and Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens.

Ive noticed that when I have it set to spot focus on AF-S, if for example I focus on my daughter's eyes at f1.8 and she's very still, the eyes are very slightly out of focus. Her hair around her ears is razor sharp.

When I'm focussing it seems to set the focus about 3cm behind.

Has anyone experienced this or is it something I could be doing wrong?

Doesn't the D7000 have a focus fine adjustment menu? Would need to be done in ideal conditions with a proper scale I'd imagine...

Yeah I've fine tuned the autofocus with that lens a few mins ago and it seems to have improved a bit but the single point autofocus is still a little off.
