    Hi,

Yes, a newby question. I've had a Classic Army M15A4 rifle for the past 5 months now (pretty much an M16). I have a question about it's handguard, it has holes in it. What are they for? Can I attach anything to them? Cheers!

When a real gun is fired the barrel heats up. When the barrel heats up it becomes less accurate. The holes are there to let air circulate and help cool the barrel.

You can get short rails that attach to the handguard using those holes.

Cheers man, had a feeling it had something to do with the heat.
