Im planning on heading to prague in a few months and was wondering what the best district is to stay in?

Zone 1 seems to have the most expensive hotels so i assume its the best for tourists. Car hire isnt really an option.

prague has some excellent public transport links, we stayed in prague 2 near the
Vyšehrad metro station and the area was really nice, quiet and the local bars there were selling beer for 1/3rd the price of the tourist bars near the centre

The airport transfer was fantastic for us. Collect direct from airport and dropped direct to hotel reception for an amount agreed upon before confirmation of booking. Safe, reliable option that I would recommend. Once pre-booked, they wait at the airport in event your flight is delayed also.

Yeah i think il go with an airport transfer, always feels safer than relying on public transport. Is it a long transfer into the middle of the city??

Prague is ridiculously cheap, if you don't eat in the Old Town Square.

PM me with your email address and I'll send you my Prague bar/restaurant guide (on a PDF which can be saved to your phone). Did it up for myself over a few trips, but by this stage it's been used by lots of people.
