Have you looked at Ryanair? Aer Lingus prices lately have become very expensive. Maybe there might be a cheap charter flight to Barcelona as well might be worth looking into

Noticed this too - they wanted abotu 150 for a flight to Amsterdam. Can't compare with what it was any time in the past, but it was a bit higher than I expected.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Thanks guys, it could be some strategy, Ryanair said the flights were sold out for this period - impossible, I guess they release tickets in batches ...

Flights are usually the best price at between 60-90 days before date.

If you book way in advance you pay the max early fare.

Got an email a few days ago about another US "Sale"

Checked online.... no adjustment in prices whatsoever. (across a range of weeks)

Check harder as the sale if for winter and there are reductions. Just booked seats to NY for November.

    Looking for Chicago.

Across the entire month of November there was not 1 reduced price compared to an identical check a week before.

Yeah your right, but they will have more US sales before winter I expect.

I flew Dub-Ams last month for €86 return on a sale fare.

The regular fare (booked a month or two in advance) would usually average between €108 - €130.

These sales only include a very small number of seats per flight so you need to be quick off the mark when you book seats. Some flights could be limited to 10 sale seats.

I book a lot of travel as part of my job nad have definitely noticed that Aer Lingus prices have been climbing steadily over the last few months. A few recent examples:

Dublin - Munich return, end September - €301.98
Dublin - Verona return, early June - €526.98
Dublin - Prague return, early June - €246.98
    Dublin - Berlin, end May - €276.98
    Dublin - Barcelona return, mid-May - €314.33

All of these were without checked baggage.

I'm flying to Orlando next Saturday and it cost less than that flight to Verona!

You would also notice that fuel and airport charges have being growing over the last while so they have to be covered. For that price to Verona they will only be one or two seats left on the flight.

To revive this thread, prices for August are quite pricey, anyone reckon they could drop further ?

Or should I buy now ?

Why are you looking only at Aer Lingus prices? August is peak summer holiday so prices will be high, are they higher now than last year? Where are you flying from/to?

Sorry same flights, BCN-DUB, I checked Ryanair similar prices but wouldn't fly with them anyway, Iberia no longer does that route, so no other option.

Someone mentioned that its best to book flights around 3 months before departure, I don't know tho ... could be way up by May ... is there public data available on historical prices ? :D
