Galaxy S3 Mini or Ace 2?

Hello all. I am currently living in China and considering purchasing my first ever smartphone (or rather my first ever real one, I have a cheap and crappy local knock-off I got back in 2011). You can get most of the same types as in Ireland here. And the prices might be slightly less, too.

After looking through different review websites and visiting some mobile shops here I've decided to pick up a Samsung phone. I've narrowed my choice down to two seemingly similar models: the Galaxy S3 Mini and the Ace 2. They're both quite small (cannot abide those oversized bricks that fill up your whole pocket). I mainly want a phone that can do phone stuff (calls, messages), has a decent enough camera and can be used as an MP3 player as well. Which would you recommend based on your experience?

If you look the specs of the 2 phones, the S3 mini is better..

800mhz Dual core processor on the Ace2 vs 1Ghz Dual core on the s3 mini
    768 mb RAM vs 1GB
More internal storage on the S3 mini
S3 mini has the latest version of android

The S3 mini is the better phone. Should be obvious. You can pick up a used Ace 2 for half the price of a S3 mini though.

That's the core of the problem, do I shell out extra RMB for the S3 Mini? Is it worth the extra moolah or could I do just as well with the Ace 2?

If you want to spend as little as possible get the ace 2 about 140 used. the mini is the better phone moving forward. Don't pay more than 250 for it though. Another option is the Lumia 620. Windows phone.

Decided to splurge a little and get the S3 Mini. It's class so far. They even threw in a free cover and extra year's warranty in the shop (though they probably do that for everyone). :)
