I'd go in in person if I were you, maybe that will make a difference?

If you have experience in restaurants, why not go looking for a job there? Dress nice when handing in the CV's, as restaurants seem to like having nice looking girls taking orders; make sexism work for you :P

    I second this.
Especially in the Temple Bar area. Being a redhead finally worked to my advantage lol.

Can I just ask, So did you find a job yet or they all turn you down?
I'm in the same situation as you are and still can't find a job after a month of dropping CV's

No nothing yet. It's so frustrating all I wants is a job. Minimum wage is be chuffed. Its about the money it's something to do.

Tbh I think nepotism is the only way to get a decent job these days

Nah nepotism is not really that bad in Ireland...back in my country you can't get anything done unless you know someone from 'higher up' it's sad and I hope Ireland never get's to the point where nepotism is ingrained in peoples mind

the thing now with students looking for work is that there so is many unemployed in Ireland they will pick the person who can work any hours and know will probably stay on in the long run with the way the work situation is in Ireland. Don't rule out administration work and maybe send on C.V's too companies that have something to do with your degree. Might pick up something.
