I recently brought my bike into Eurocycles on Long Mile Road for a once over after a relatively big crash. When I went to pick it up and buy a new helmet, the chap dealing with me only charged me for the helmet (and at a discount) saying he wouldn't charge for the service as hopefully it would be "the start of some good luck".

Completely uncalled for but obviously appreciated. Just wanted to note it here quickly as would usually be quick enough to bad mouth somewhere if received bad service.

Nice, hope all is well after your crash. Don't forget to get yourself checked out too!

I had a spill which required an operation and a bit of recovery recently. You might be apprehensive about getting back in the saddle but you will find that the freedom and sense of well-being you get from riding your bike will blot out the fear. A few spins under your belt and it will be forgotten.

Falling off is a million times better than not getting on.

Fairly sure it was Emmet. Hope you don't get him sacked now ;)

Thanks! You're dead right. Looking forward to getting back to it. Hope you're fully recovered!
