When u play a away competition do u have to hand in your card back in your own club or how do u tell your home club you've played in away comp

itll get recorded in your golfnet as an away score by the away club & your handicap sec will update your h/cap from that.
youre meant to record all away scores in an away score book in your home club too but i think nearly no-one does that anymore...

I always scan a copy of the card to the handicap secretary, in practice ANY score I've had away from home that didn't make its way onto Golfnet has been ignored which I think is a bit of a shame.

My away comps are up but my two home comps aren't which I find a bit weird as I've played them a week and 3 weeks back

Seems to be hit and miss, out of the last 10 away comps i've played 4 of them haven't been added to Golfnet.

Do u think u would have been awarded .1 s back for those competition s if they were up . Seems unfair there not up after paying your money to play in away comps

Not sure of the Congu rule, but our club does have a rule posted on the wall obliging players to report away scores themselves and not to rely on Golfnet.

Yes we have the computer system. But I guess the isntruction to members is coming from scores not getting onto the system reliably at away comps (due to no 'away' computer system, or the away club not returning the cards).

No I was in the buffer zone for all of them, but I played in one last week, scored 32 and the CCS was 36, so I should have got one for that. But I may still get that as it has taken more than a week once or twice before.

Last time I played an away comp I think it took about 3 weeks to show up on golfnet, so they may yet show up

My problem is I've played two home comps and none of them are up on Golfnet . The two away comps I played which was only friday and sat are up on Golfnet already . I've asked in club a few times and all was said that results will be up soon one was 4 weeks ago one last week I don't understand how away comps are up straight away but home club not up and I don't want to keep asking as I've only joined and don't want to be seen as troublemaker

I think its just down to the club and how often the send off the scores. I think golfnet will display them straight way, but obviously if the club does send them off, they wont appear.

Is your home course updated via "how did i do"?
