Metabolism after anorexia

    Hi,
I've had anorexia since I was 18 (am 22 now).

I'm 5'4 and my weight has shifted over a 40lb range over the last while. Highest weight was 121lbs,lowest weight 78lbs..

I've been hospitalised 3 times and now after my last one, I am currently recovered and at 102lbs.

I would like to reach just under the 100lb mark again because I'm very anxious being over 7stone/over 100lbs.

However,my metabolism is absolutely wrecked. I eat less than a thousand calories a day and still lose nothing.

Are there any healthy ways that I could boost my metabolism and just lose that few pounds?

my current diet consists mainly of eggs, slices of ham, 1/2 slices of soda bread, sugarfree jelly and fatfree yoghurts.

I dont want to be anorexic again but I just want to get back down to 96lbs!.Thanks

You need treatment for this illness OP. Nobody on here is going to advise you on how to get below 100 lbs. The fact that you want to do this is a sign that your illness is still affecting your mindset.

OP, if you have a healthy mind, a healthy body will follow. Please get yourself fully recovered before you worry about your weight, in case you do any more damage to yourself. Less than 1,000cals a day is not enough for your body to function properly.

I've been in your shoes, to a certain extent. My body needed time to heal itself, and my mind is still healing. Please look after yourself.

I'm not sure how to phrase this but you are not recovered. You are currently underweight and the fact you are trying to drop further shows you are still influenced by your anorexia.

Why are you fixated on a 100 lbs? Because its a nice even number? Pounds are an archaic unit anyway. If it was defined differently (imperial, troy, London lbs etc), and you were 97lbs. Would you be happier? Even though your body wasn't any different.

First if all, forget about stone and lbs. This isn't the 1800s. We use kilograms. I think a good starting point for you would be 50kg. A nice even number :)
