Dress shop reccomendations

    Hi everyone!

It’s my 25th birthday very shortly and I was toget a gorgeous dress for it, but I find dress shopping pretty difficult at thebest of times!

My figure is as follows: I’m a size 12 with fairly long tonedlegs (please don't think I’m boasting, but these would be my biggest asset) anda very big chest. Don’t love my stomach at all, it’s not toned, but I wouldlove to wear something slightly body con for once (with the correctundergarments of course!!)

I don’t even know what I’m looking for in one way in termsof colour, shape, style etc, I’m just looking for dress shops really with a lotof choice and great sales assistants, that maybe can alter the gúnas also ifneeded (probably will)!

I find "young" shops like Lipsy an absolute disaster and I don’treally see anything suitable in Julien in Stephen’s Green, Dublin at themoment. Carousal in Dublin City centre has lovely retro/vintage stuff but Iwear a lot of that style and would like to get something modern looking.

Buying online is unfortunately not an option as I reallyneed to try stuff on, and generally when I get stuff online the stuff isn’t100% right.

I know there are lots of girls out there with similarfigures to me and I would love some personal recommendations for shops in Dublinthat have a great selection of dresses and options of altering. I’ve googledand all that, but some personal recommendations would be great.

Preferably a shop that also does shoes would be great... youcan tell how lazy I am!

    Thanks very much in advance.

I don't have a shop suggestion but I would either highlight you legs OR your chest area. Making a feature of both at the same time might be OTT. If you don't like you tummy stay away from body con unless you can find one that holds that are in (I don't know if they exist).

    Bodycon is a tummy's nightmare...

There's a dress in River Island at the moment I think might fit what would suit you, I have it in another colour, get loads of compliments for it- shows off your legs and has just the right amount of cleavage- and is flattering on the tummy without being frumpy or having to be a skater type dress. WAY nicer (and sexier) on in person than it seems on the hanger.

But if that's not what you fancy, then I'd recommend House of Fraser for a dress because they have loads of different brands so between them all you'd definitely find something. Plus you could match your shoes up to the dress whilst you're there. I always seem to see at least one dress I like when I go in there.

Thank you both for these suggestions!

Yes, I guess there is no point going bodycon if I don't like my stomach, I'd be sucking in all night!!

Love that black dress, it could be lovely - thanks for the reccommendation, I'll def try it on. Will pop out to House of Fraser in Dundrum also, they have a good selection there.
