01 Honda Accord brake sticking

I have a 01 Honda Accord 1.8ls 160000 miles and it failed the NCT on a brake issue. Basically, the front brakes are sticking.

I checked the calipers and they are moving freely and the discs appear good. They appear to be worse at motorway speed. They also feed serious vibrations through the steering wheel as if you have a badly out of balance wheel. When you stop the car, both front discs and even wheel rims are hot after a reasonably short drive.

What is causing the brakes to pull slightly. Is it the calipers not backing off or are the pistons pushing out slightly and if so why? My gut feeling is that the pistons are pushing out slightly but I am no expert. My local garage man wants to change the calipers but I am not convinced this is the problem.

Has anybody encountered this problem before and how did they fix it? Car is not worth much.

    TIA

Sticky/hot/squeaky brakes can be several things but of course new calipers is the easy way out (unless the hose is the culprit).
How long have you had the issue?
    Were pads/discs changed recently?
Was brake fluid changed at some point?
When you took the brakes apart were the pads stuck inside the calipers or were they easy to remove?

I've had a similar issue with rear pads on one wheel sticking.
For me the new pads aren't sliding properly and I put some grease on the calipers like so (take the shims out if you can so you don't get grease on the rotor).

This sorted most of it but they are still sticking a tiny bit so I will have to file them a bit as well.

Thanks for advice Biko. The discs were changed a couple of years ago and appear good. The pads werent stuck to the disc at all and calipers are quite free. I have never changed the brake fluid in this car, just topped it up. Could this be causing the problem. It seems more of a hydraulic problem than a mechanical one. Just I wouldn't know why the pistons are being slightly pressurised to cause this. Would a fluid change help?

Bleeding the brakes is always a good start if you haven't done so in living memory :)

Have a look at these two vids, both describe how to diagnose brake issues and are pretty good.
