Things that send shivers down your spine

You know what I mean. Something you've heard or watched has given you that tingle of happiness or motivation or emotion in general, sending a tingle down your back (this could be taken in a different context.....but I'm sticking with it). Whatever you want to call it. I think this song the first time I heard it did this to me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSAJ0l4OBHM sure I heard it in a video game first but it just blew my mind.

If anyone has anything that has done the same effect do share! (keep de porn to a minimum :pac:)

Hearing this tune on a big night of European football. There aren't many better sporting anthems out there.

The start of One Day Like This (not Beautiful Day!), Elbow. Even thinking about it is giving me goosebumps. Amazing tune!

What's amazing is how you don't even know the name of the song, it's 'One Day Like This'.

I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me!
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship.
But it is not this day.
An hour of woes and shattered shields when the age of Men comes crashing down!
But it is not this day!
    This day we fight!
By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand!
    Men of the West!

Down in Pairc Ui Chaoimh during a championship match. The Tricolor flies over the Blackrock end terrace and to watch 30-40k turn to the tricolour, especially to watch the whole crowd in that terrace turn around to face the flag, lifts the hair on the back of my neck everytime.

Watching Clucko walk up and place the ball over the bar, sending the Hill, and Dubs worldwide - into absolute ecstasy.

Sixteen years of hurt, healed in an instant.

As long as you're on After Hours, you'll never hear the end of it, that song will now become your most hated as it morphs into the song that you associate with condemnation on boards.ie. :p

What's funny is any normal person would react completely differently and just politely correct you in real life, but on the internet...some people are just dicks.

I remember getting goosebumpy walking around the Holocaust memorial in Berlin. It's right in the middle of the city, but it's so vast and feels quite lonely. You're walking around on uneven ground between uniquely shaped and sized concrete slabs that block out the sun, so it's darker and colder. You can often hear the voices of other people walking around it too, but you can't see them. It's all quite disorienting, and almost senseless, like the crime it's supposed to represent, I suppose. It's a strangely interactive experience. Interesting piece of architecture, that.

The ending of Michael Collins when the music starts to kick in. It gets me very emotional for some reason.

This was pretty spine-tingling for me when I first read it many years ago, the effect has somewhat lessened on me now that I've read and seen it over a hundred times.

When a mate texts me saying "we're out for pints!"
When I sink a long putt.
When I realise I'm definitely getting cunt from a girl I'm chatting to.

    all good.

This is just haunting, beautiful and so sad.

"Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire" -Talmud

For those who don't know, Oskar Schindler (1908-1974) risked his own life and used his entire fortune to save the lives of over 1,200 Jewish labourers who worked in his factory during the Holocaust. The above video is the main theme from the film Schindler's List that is based upon his heroic endeavours. Anyone who hasn't seen this film, go and watch it now. It is not easy viewing, but it is one of the finest films ever committed to celluloid.

That's a very emotional song too. But it's the one that plays during the closing credits that kills me.
