Does anybody know where I could pick up a copy of the old log book? The one without all the formulae. It's practically the same as the one UL uses in it's exams. O'Mahony's doesn't stock them.

the library has copies of the log books that would be used in the exam on short term loan (or they had anyway).

You could ask for a copy from the library

They're no longer being printed as a new version was published a few years ago. The university's continued use of such material when it's no longer possible for students to obtain their own copy for reference should be raised with them IMO - it might be useful to send an email to the SU Education Officer asking him to raise the issue.
