    can a neighbour fill in a Drain on his side of his property- this drain would have also servered a propose to my property as my land is sloping down towards this drain and may have consequences in the future

    who can i complain or report this too

    As far as i know a drain is like a right of way if its there long enough and you can get it marked on the deeds of his farm if you go about .

    Heard of it going all the way to court in the past when one neighbour blocked a drain that left one farm into another.. The only winner was the solicitors and Barristers.

    If your field slopes down to the drain, and his land is going to get wet, then he has the main problem. Let it ride a while but handle it delicately.

    However, if the farm has an arrow on it on the map, then he might have a bit of bother as this is logged on the maps as a watercourse.
