Vw passat or volvo v50

    I'm in the market for a new motor and have viewed both of these. Have viewed a 07 1.9 passat, plenty of extras such as cruise control, air con and so on. It drives pretty good, has a long nct. I've also test drove a 05 volvo v5o, 2ltr d. That has a few more extras than the passat such as leather seats, drives pretty good too. 2years older and cheaper too, i've had no experience with either brand so im really undecided on which to go for. Any1 any opinions on either???

    Do you need alot of interior space. The V50 is based on the Ford Focus which is alot smaller than a Passat.

    Much more room in the passat alright but the v50 is adequate. Might view both again and try and decide
