Married or Single Taxation-Entitled to Refund

Hi all, been married since 2008 but my spouse and I have always been taxed as singles, the way we always were before we were married.

We were both on similar salaries in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Last year, one of us went self employed.

Just wondering is it worth looking into those three tax years, to see if we would be entitled to a refund, if we were assessed as a married couple for those years?

depends on your respective salaries really - a quick call to revenue would get an answer for you
