    Hi,

I'm on JSA and I'm going to be doing some paid work experience work for 1 day a week so I'll be doing a casual claim.

I'm just wondering how you get paid. I seen from searching here you can get a cheque sent to you or you can still go to the post office, is this true?

Also can I fill the form in and just send it in by post or do I have to go to the dole office every week

    Thanks

You need to call into your sw office and let them know that you will be working 1 day per week. They will give you forms for your employer to fill out and also dockets for you to fill out and return every week. Your claim will be changed to casual category and you will be paid by cheque.

    Thanks for the reply eastbono

Does anyone know if I still have to sign on every month or is it just filling in the docket and sending it back every week

There would be no monthly signing, the weekly docket covers that.

    Thanks for the reply

Sorry for another question, I forgot to ask so from my understanding they give you a months worth of dockets and I can send them back by post or do I have to drop them in. Just wondering as Id loose money with the two extra days travel every week

The dockets are posted to you and there will be 4 together. You can post or drop in one per week. You will then receive your cheque weekly, usually on a Tuesday.
